Linda Easter

Linda Easter is a Waco native who paints in oils with a loose, painterly style. Her objects are identifiable, but with a soft, impressionistic look where the brushwork is evident. She paints on stretched canvas or canvas covered board. Subject matter is varied, but tends toward figurative subjects with an emotional element.

Linda has been influenced by painters of the past such as Sorolla, Fechin, Sargent and Cassatt. However, she enjoys even more the inspiration of the very fine painters of today. She has studied with some of the finest in a number of workshops at the Fredericksburg Art School. She continues to work with figure drawing groups in her area. Her great joy is interpreting in oil paint the play of light across the faces and figures of the beautiful people she meets.
